Walking & Safety Tips:
The Walk: You are in a very safe and tourist-friendly area. The walks are flat until you get into the hills of Centro.
Evenings: The streets will be lively and well-lit, especially around the Malecón and Olas Altas. Standard city precautions apply.
Crossing the Bridge: The bridge from your hotel to the Malecón is a key landmark. From there, you can go right (south) into the heart of the Romantic Zone or left (north) along the Malecón into Centro.
