One of the features I like at a resort is a BBQ. So many resorts do not provide them; thinking you would prefer to purchase your meals in their overpriced restaurants. Personally, after a day at the beach or pool; I would prefer to throw on a pair of shorts, grab a glass of wine and take a couple of steaks to the BBQ.
The accommodations were very nice but not as nice as our favorite resort in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. They gave us a studio. From a marketing perspective, they should have given us a one bedroom. But, even the one bedroom units lacked a washer and dryer in the unit; a feature we really appreciate.
The day after our arrival we went to the obligatory presentation put on by the resort. It was low pressure and was cut short when we made it clear we were not interested in buying another timeshare.
We had been to a luau at Germaine's Luau on a previous visit to the islands. http://www.germainesluau.com/ This time we booked with Paradise Cove. http://www.paradisecove.com/ In our opinion it was a much nicer luau.
Entrance to the Luau.
Had a great time. Tomorrow we go to Pear Harbor.
