Arrival at the Arizona Memorial. The names of the men who lost their lives during the attack.  Many survivors have opted to have their remains interned with their shipmates. Part of the Arizona protruding from the water. As I said .. it is a must see.

Even though I had lived in Hawaii twice and had been there while on R & R from Vietnam; I had never visited Pearl Harbor. We visited on September 11, 2008. At the time there were still some survivors that would come to visitors center several times a week. Unfortunately, these Second World War Veterans are becoming a rare breed. They take you out to the Arizona Memorial by boat. To be Continued
